Everyone has options on a cruise. Your experience on the cruise will depend on several things such as how big the boat you’ll be traveling on it. A little research will influence your experience, so look into other people’s cruise encounters.
A mega-liner will be very busy. These will accommodate many people, but don’t plan to get much alone time. You can expect activities, dining, theatres, and casinos. Many will have gyms, spas and game areas. You can find non-stop activities on these bigger ships.
Smaller cruise ships are available, accommodating between 100 and 500 passengers. These cruises are usually more elegant and have better atmosphere. These will usually have less casual dress codes, but should have spa facilities. These will have a nicer, more neighborly feel to them because of the smaller number of passengers. These are generally more romantic.
No matter which type of cruise ship you opt for, there are several safety tips you should keep in mind while on board. Be alert, as you should be anywhere. Don’t leave valuables in your cabin – make use of the ship’s safe. Don’t wander down dark hallways or into off-limits areas on your own. Don’t over do the drinking. You won’t be able to stand by dinner, if you start drinking cocktails in the afternoon. You’ll get reckless, and might have dire consequences.
A cruise offers a wonderful vacation experience, out on the open sea, often visiting spectacular ports that you can experience for a day or two between stretches on the ocean. You won’t even have to leave the ship to have a good time. You’ll have a variety of food options, plenty of activity, and great entertainment. Although they can be quite pricey, booking far in advance, or very late, can save you up to 50% on your vacation cost. Watch how much you spend on the trip. You will be provided with a C Note Card, which is like a credit card you use on the ship – and you will have to pay it off in full before you disembark! Take advantage of some of the shops and ports that you visit. Kick off your shoes and enjoy!
